The International Off-Road Drivers Association will kick off its third season with two rounds in May, followed by another pair in September before concluding in October. As has been the case since the inaugural slate in 2023, Gravity Park USA in Chilton, Wisconsin, will host most of the dates.

IODA began racing in 2023, branding itself as a sportsman short course series run “by drivers, for drivers.” Sportsman racers are generally amateurs and those racing on a casual basis, as opposed to professionals who often headline series like Championship Off-Road.

The emphasis on driver’s voices might evoke memories of the Short-course Off-road Drivers Association (SODA), which served as the discipline’s main championship from the 1970s through 1990s. For example, the series pushes for racers to sign up for season-long memberships that discount per-race entry fees and encourages sponsors to step up and support individual classes with rewards.

Transparency between leadership and competitors is also a priority, such as where the money goes. To this end, IODA was designated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization last April.

Gravity Park USA has hosted every IODA weekend since 2023, serving as its de facto “home track”.

The season begins on May 10–11, about two weeks later than it did in 2024. Another round will be held on Memorial Day weekend, though a specific location has not been revealed.

After taking the summer off, which will allow its driver roster to focus on Championship Off-Road’s sportsman classes, the season resumes in September at Gravity Park. The final round is on October 10–12, which also doubles as the series’ annual Halloween party.
