After winning the 2024 SCORE Pro Moto Unlimited title, Carter Klein will team up with Tyler Lynn and Ryan Surratt for the 2025 off-road season. The trio will race a Honda CRF450R for SLR Honda in SCORE, the AMA National Grand Prix Championship (NGPC), and the World Off Road Championship Series (WORCS).
Klein helped HERO Racing’s #11X bike win the Pro Moto Unlimited championship with victories at the San Felipe 250 and Baja 500, followed by a pair of runners-up in the Baja 400 and Baja 1000. In December, the team announced Klein would not be returning to focus on off-track obligations; Shane Logan, a former teammate of Klein, filled the void he left on the now-#1X.
He is no stranger to Honda since HERO also fields one. Fittingly, his older brother Mason Klein also races a Honda CRF450X in the Brazilian Cross-Country Rally Championship.
Led by Mark Samuels and formally known as SLAM LIFE Racing, SLR Honda fields the #7X bike in SCORE. The #7X held off the #11X to win the latest Baja 1000 in November with Justin Morgan as the Rider of Record, which he shared with Lynn, Surratt, and Brandon Prieto.
The team will also field bikes in NGPC and WORCS for Jace Allred and Mikayla Nielsen. The latter is the twice reigning NGPC Pro Women’s champion, winning the 2023 and 2024 titles with the latter coming in a complete sweep of the season.
