As Extreme E transforms into the Extreme H World Cup for 2025, Veloce Racing will make the switch as well. The team affirmed its commitment on Tuesday.

Veoce has been involved with the series since the inaugural season in 2021. After being in the back half of the standings across the first two years , the team found its footing after signing Kevin Hansen and Molly Taylor as permanent drivers in 2023. The tandem, which had been working together since the 2022 finale, won thrice and finished third in the 2023 championship.

During the shortened 2024 season, the Hansen/Taylor tandem finished third in both races of the Desert X Prix before sweeping the Hydro X Prix. As the only team to podium in all four races, Veloce was the points leader when the season was stopped to focus on switching to Extreme H.

“Extreme E was an amazing platform for drawing attention to environmental issues and driving change,” began a statement from Veloce CEO Daniel Bailey. “We’re proud to say that Veloce played an active role in that mission, taking part in many of Extreme E’s legacy programs, while racing at the highest level, bringing home five X Prix wins and topping the leaderboard in Season 4.

“The FIA Extreme H World Cup offers an opportunity to continue all of that work. It isn’t just a matter of educating about climate change but also shining a light on sustainable solutions, and hydrogen is looking like a strong candidate in the development of the automotive industry. Everyone at Veloce is extremely passionate about racing, competition, and cutting-edge technology, especially if it contributes to a greener future, so we’re excited to see how Extreme H develops over the next few months.”

Carl Cox Motorsport and SUN Minimeal Team also stated their intent to compete in Extreme H come 2025, though the former sat out the 2024 season. On the other hand, two-time XE champion Rosberg X Racing shut down in December.
