In addition to a part-time slate in the World Rally-Raid Championship and FIA Middle East Baja Cup, Aliyyah Koloc’s cross-country schedule for the rest of 2025 includes making her debut at the Taklimakan Rally in China.
After the W2RC’s Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge later in February, she will not return to the series until the season-ending Rallye du Maroc in October. She began the year with a 35th in class at the Dakar Rally, set back by mechanical issues throughout the race.
Between Abu Dhabi and Morocco, she will enter the Middle East Baja Cup’s Jordan Baja in April followed by Taklimakan the following month.
“My race season is already in full swing with the two-week Dakar Rally behind us,” said Koloc. “As always, it is a tough but very rewarding start to the year. In the meantime, I got a little bit of a breather that I spent looking after myself, both physically and mentally. The year ahead will be busy, but I am looking forward to getting more driving experience under my belt. It will also be interesting to tackle a rally in China for the first time.”
Koloc will then spend the summer in GT racing. She and Buggyra ZM Racing won the 24H Series’ GT4 title in 2024.
The Rallye du Maroc will end the W2RC season in October, where she hopes to rebound after crashing out of the 2024 race. In November, Koloc will run the final two rounds of the MEBC at the Qatar International Baja and Dubai International Baja.
“For 2025, one focus of our motorsport commitment will be firmly on rally raids with the target of giving Aliyyah the best car possible and making sure she becomes an even more accomplished driver,” stated her father and Buggyra boss Martin Koloc. “She has improved incredibly over the last year, not just as a driver but also as a team leader. For the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, she will race in a turbo-charged REVO T1+ for the first time, so that will be a new experience for her, but something absolutely essential as she now has the necessary speed and mindset for a faster car.”
Buggyra fields the Red-Lined REVO for Koloc and navigator Sébastien Delaunay in the Ultimate class. A REVO won the 2024 Taklimakan overall with Wei Han.
