The Polaris RZR Pro R Factory is one of the top UTVs today, if its absurdly diverse and lengthy list of victories in recent years is any proof. Thus, when Polaris decided to produce the UTV for customers, it comes with little surprise that people were eager to scoop one up for themselves.

In a press conference for the upcoming SCORE season on Tuesday, Polaris’ racing technical director Alex Scheuerell revealed the company has already hit the 30-unit production limit for 2025.

Orders for the RZR first opened on January 31. After an order is placed, Polaris Engineering’s assembly line in Minnesota—which is usually focused on the military MRZR—is converted for racing. Once built, it is brought to Scanlon Clarke Incorporated in California for upfitting.

The customer model is the same as the one used by RZR Factory Racing, and is immediately legal for American desert racing like SCORE and BITD. A separate package for use internationally, such as in FIA-sanctioned rally raids, is in the works.

“We’re building a limited quantity of 30 machines this year and happy to say we’re all sold out of those those machines,” said Scheuerell. “A lot of interest and a lot of excitement around that. We’re proud of all the customers that jumped on and we’re excited to see what we can do with this machine.”

While sold out for 2025, the 2026 order window is open and does not have a cap. Once it closes on July 31, 2025, the next build begins in February followed by delivery starting March 1.

“We’ll see how many people we’ll get and we’ll build as many as we have to,” Scheuerell continued.

Those who bought the Pro R Factory can earn a 50% parts credit, described as a “kicker bonus”, if they enter any of the four SCORE races in 2025 and finish top three overall for UTVs. Polaris is also offering prize money for the UTV podium at each event.

The factory RZR has been dominant since the team’s debut in 2023, winning the SCORE Pro UTV Open titles every year since then. Brock Heger is currently riding a historic win streak with the UTV, having won his class at the Baja 1000, Dakar Rally, King of the Hammers’ desert and rock races, and Mint 400. RZRs also occupied six of the top ten spots in the Mint 400’s Limited Race.

Heger remarked to 131 Off-Road earlier this month that “it’s cool to see how far Polaris and RZR have come, especially with these new race cars. Anyone can go buy my same exact race car and go race against me or go beat me. That part’s kind of cool.

“I mean, I’m saying that now until I get beat by one and it’ll probably be different.”
