Honda Off-Road Factory Racing announced Tuesday that their Talon division has partnered with Red Bull, rebranding that arm to Red Bull Honda Talon Factory Racing for the rest of the 2025 season and beyond.
Corbin Leaverton, who has been with the team since February, is a Red Bull athlete who starred in the Red Bull Scramble Series.
“I’m stoked to have Red Bull on board the Honda Talon Racing program for the remainder of the 2025 season,” said Leaverton. “Honda and Red Bull are no question two of the most prestigious companies in all motorsports, so it’s awesome to be a part of them joining forces in off-road racing. Looking forward to going racing at the Baja 500 and excited for this partnership to continue to grow and be successful into the future.”
After winning the 2024 Red Bull Scramble Series title, Leaverton earned sponsorship from Red Bull ahead of his Dakar Rally debut in January. While his overall finish was ruined by a suspension issue, he won the Prologue and a stage in the Challenger class. He signed with Honda soon after, replacing the Can-Am-bound Michael McFayden.
Leaverton’s first start in the Honda Talon was the Mint 400 Limited Race in March, where he finished 29th overall and won the UTV Pro NA class. This weekend’s Baja 500 will mark his maiden SCORE race for the team, competing in Pro UTV Normally Aspirated.
Honda Talon Factory Racing retired from the Baja 500 in 2024 due to a mechanical failure, but won the Baja 1000 later that year.
“We are honored to welcome Red Bull to our Honda team and look forward to sharing continued podium success throughout the remainder of this season,” team boss Jeff Proctor added. “We are grateful for their trust and belief in our Honda team.”
