As one of, if not the world’s biggest motorsports festival, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is a time for all disciplines to come together at Goodwood House. While pavement vehicles are naturally the stars of the show, rally raid will be well represented too.

Of course, most will be at the Off-Road Arena for demonstrations. Headlining the bunch is the Defender Dakar D7X‑R, which Land Rover will formally unveil at Goodwood. Stéphane Peterhansel, one of three drivers contracted to the team for the 2026 Dakar Rally, will be on site.

M-Sport’s V8-powered Ford Raptor, which was revealed at last year’s Goodwood, will be present with Nani Roma. Roma won a stage at its Dakar debut this year, one of four M-Sport Raptors at the event alongside Mattias Ekström, Mitch Guthrie, and Carlos Sainz.

Two other T1 cars on hand are the Red-Lined REVO+ and Toyota Hilux Overdrive, respectively piloted by Justin Birchall and Andrew Wicklow. Both Dakar alumni, Birchall currently races the REVO+ on the Iberian Peninsula whereas Wicklow ran the Morocco Desert Challenge in April. Birchall will also drive the rotary-powered Lofthouse Freelander.

SSV rivals will hit the arena as well as the Can-Am Maverick X3 and Polaris RZR Pro R take part. Ultra4 Europe driver Shabs Piercy is in the Can-Am whereas rally competitor Ian Gregg drives the RZR. Another Maverick developed by GSR Racing will be there with Max Cooke.

At the Forest Rally Stage, Peter van den Bosch will return to the 1985 Audi Sport Quattro with which he finished 53rd overall at the Dakar Classic. He isn’t the only Quattro entered, though everyone else’s are optimized for stage rally rather than rally raid. Coen Donkers, whose company built van den Bosch’s Audi, is entered in his own Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2.

On the bike side, BMW Group Classic and Monster Energy Honda HRC are respectively bringing a 1985 BMW R 80 G/S and modern Honda CRF450 Rally. The BMW was one of the Paris–Dakar Rally’s early stars with victories in 1981 and from 1983 to 1985, while the Honda won the 2024 edition with Ricky Brabec. Brabec, who is currently tied for second in W2RC RallyGP points, will attend Goodwood.

The 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed begins on Thursday, July 10, and runs through Sunday, July 13.
