The 2026 SCORE International World Desert Championship will still feature the same four events as it has since 2016, but why fix what ain’t broke?

The season will once again begin with the 39th San Felipe 250 on March 25–29, with race day on the 28th. Of course, as the name suggests, San Felipe will serve as the main hub. Pretty much the only change from 2025 is that it is now on the third month of the calendar rather than early April.

The 58th Baja 500 will once again usher in the summer in June, with racing commencing on D-Day of June 6.

The Baja 400 is the youngest event, with 2026 being the seventh edition.

Finally, the season ends with the legendary Baja 1000. The 59th edition currently does not have a set location nor a confirmed layout. The race will begin on November 13 and run for two days.

The 500 and 400 will both be in SCORE’s base of Ensenada. They and San Felipe are single-loop races.

“We are ambassadors of Mexico worldwide, promoting the culture and tourist destinations to our global racer and off-road enthusiast fan bases around the world,” said SCORE VP of marketing Jim Ryan. “It is not just about SCORE International but about making Baja California known as a unique place, along with the warmth of the Mexican people who welcome everyone with open arms, offering an experience full of adventure and sport, such as the SCORE Baja 1000, SCORE Baja 500, SCORE Baja 400, and SCORE San Felipe 250.”

Halfway through the 2025 season, Alan Ampudia and Tyler Lynn have respectively swept the San Felipe 250 and Baja 500 for 4-Wheel and Moto.
