The Ronde des Sables Hossegor-Capbreton is back on the FIM Sand Races World Championship, this time as the fourth round of the 2025 season. The FIM confirmed the new date on Tuesday.

Excluding the two Enduropale du Touquet dates that bookend the calendar, the Ronde des Sables is the other French race on the schedule. It was added to the calendar in 2024 when the series was known as the FIM Sand Races World Cup, serving as the season finale. Todd Kellett dominated the event en route to the championship.

Hossegor is a commune in southwestern France, located along the Atlantic coast.

The FIM also confirmed Tuesday that the season will end with the 2026 Enduropale du Touquet Pas-de-Calais on February 13–15. While certainly unusual to have two editions of the sport’s premier race as part of the same season, such an approach was also done by the FIA World Endurance Championship with the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2018.

Kellett won the season-opening Enduropale du Touquet in February, after which is a six-month break until the next round in Argentina.
