Six months after doing a desert rally raid for the first time, Noa Sainct will head back to Morocco for double duty when he enters the Baja Morocco followed by the Rallye du Maroc. Both races run almost back to back, with the Baja Morocco taking place on October 2–6 while the Rallye du Maroc is on October 10–17.

“Two important milestones in my career, which will allow me to come a little closer to my father’s world and follow in his footsteps in my own way,” wrote Sainct.

He is the son of the late Richard Sainct, who won the Dakar Rally three times. Noa hopes to do what his dad did and race the Dakar himself someday, a path that he began taking steps onto in 2024 when he competed in European rallies like the Italian Motorally Championship.

In April, he went to Morocco to compete in the Carta Rallye. The race began with his navigation tower glitching on the first stage and some getting used to the rocks, but he ran top ten overall until he had to miss a stage after his bike was one of many trapped in a river crossing. Sainct ultimately finished 15th among 450cc bikes and 20th overall. His best run was a seventh in Stages 5 and 7.

Naturally, Sainct hopes to eventually compete at the Dakar Rally someday so races like the Carta Rallye and his Moroccan October are intended to help him gain more experience in the desert. The Baja Morocco is an independent race while the Rallye du Maroc is part of the World Rally-Raid Championship like Dakar.

“It’s a project that requires a lot of commitment, both sporting and logistical, and I’m still looking for sponsors to help me make it a reality,” Sainct added.
