Toyota Auto Body has created the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Rally Raid, a special edition vehicle to celebrate Team Land Cruiser’s 12th consecutive victory in the Dakar Rally’s Stock category. 12 units will be produced with price consultations running from Thursday through September 28, followed by sales opening in December.

It was developed by the team’s five-time Dakar class winner Akira Miura, who wanted to “create a car that can be driven quickly and safely on any terrain without fatigue.”

The Toyota Land Cruiser 300 GR Sport used by Toyota Auto Body is already a production rally car save for modifications to comply with FIA and basic racing safety rules. Of course, the 300 Rally Raid is intended for customers instead.

It is 4.965 meters long by 1.99 m wide and 1.925 m high, with a wheelbase of 2,850 millimeters and 225 mm in ground clearance. The car weighs in at 2,560 kilograms, has 700 Nm of torque, and an 80-liter fuel tank. A double wishbone independent suspension with coil springs is used along with a trailing link axle. The Land Cruiser also sports a ten-speed transmission and ventilated brake discs.

While the GR Sport has genuine leather seats, the Rally Raid uses Ultrasuede and synthetic leather. The latter also features 285/60R18 Toyo Tires with PDT1 aluminum wheels as opposed to the race version’s 265/65R18 and 18×7/2J wheels.

Otherwise, they have many of the same features like the same drive modes, suspension, full-time 4WD, and an electric differential lock.

Besides the 12 Land Cruisers, Toyota Auto Body will also release 12 accessory packages. Each comes with tires and wheels, brake caliper, coil springs and cab mount for the suspension, tow hook, a special seat, and ornaments and decals. The suspension and cab mounts are optional parts of the package and have a one-year warranty.

The car will go for roughly 9,380,800 yen (USD$63,749.05). The accessories package has an MSRP of ¥1,511,400 with the suspension and mounts and ¥1,244,100 if not.

Team Land Cruiser Toyota Auto Body has won the T2/Stock class at Dakar every year since 2014. Miura claimed the 2025 edition.
