Nasser Al-Attiyah and Fabian Lurquin worked together pretty well at the Baja Aragón in July, so much so that Dacia has opted to keep them paired up for the rest of the 2025 World Rally-Raid Championship and 2026 Dakar Rally. Al-Attiyah’s usual navigator Édouard Boulanger will now fill the role vacated by Lurquin as Sébastien Loeb’s right-seat man.

Boulanger had been Al-Attiyah’s navigator since the 2024 Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, moving over from Stéphane Peterhansel’s passenger seat after Audi shut down. Together, the pair won that year’s W2RC title. Three rounds into 2025, Boulanger currently leads the navigators’ standings with 20 points on Brett Cummings while Al-Attiyah sits atop the drivers’ side over Henk Lategan. They won the 2025 ADDC together.

In July, with Loeb not taking part, Al-Attiyah and Lurquin teamed up for the Baja Aragón. The new pair finished second overall, after which they decided to make their combo permanent going forward.

“In rally raid, our strength as a team lies in creating the best possible conditions for our crews to perform at their highest level,” explained Dacia principal Tiphe Isnard. “The bond between driver and navigator is crucial, and sometimes evolving the pairings allows new synergies to emerge. We believe these new collaborations will bring greater stability, renewed confidence, and the determination needed to push even further together.”

Lurquin had worked with Loeb since 2022, and won that year’s Andalucía Rally together. Despite beginning the 2025 season by crashing out of Dakar, they rebounded by nearly winning in South Africa. Loeb is currently tied for ninth in the drivers’ standings, as is Lurquin for co-drivers.

“I’m really looking forward to starting this new chapter with Édouard,” said Loeb. “We’ve already done some testing together in Morocco and everything went very well, so I’m confident our collaboration will be a good one.”

Dacia’s third driver Cristina Gutiérrez will continue to have Pablo Moreno calling the shots.

The BP Ultimate Rally-Raid will be their next race.
