With Extreme H’s final race and Extreme H’s first taking place in Qiddiya, it only makes sense that there’d be a Saudi team. Indeed, Jameel Motorsport will hold that role when they field a car for Kevin Hansen and Molly Taylor.

Jameel Motorsport is one of the largest racing promoters in Saudi Arabia, organizing the all-women Rally Jameel and sponsoring the Saudi Toyota Championship. They are also a backer of 2025 Dakar Rally winner Yazeed Al-Rajhi.

Hansen and Taylor are already well familiar with each other as they ran the 2023 and 2024 Extreme E seasons for Veloce Racing. The duo were leading the 2024 points when the season was cut short after two races.

While Veloce was the first team to commit to Extreme H, doing so in February, the drivers will instead take part under the Jameel banner.

“Joining Extreme E and the FIA Extreme H World Cup marks a bold move for Jameel Motorsport, demonstrating our dedication to innovation, sustainability, and the thrill of competition,” commented company director Munir Khoja. “This collaboration aligns perfectly with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, advancing a vibrant society and a thriving economy through cutting-edge motorsport. We remain committed to supporting the growth of motorsport locally and globally as well as positioning Saudi Arabia as a leader in sustainable motorsport.”

Hansen is coming off a disappointing end to the World Rallycross Championship as he and his brother Timmy were forced to miss the finale due to funding issues. Their family team Hansen Motorsport has since joined XH with Timmy now the boss of Team Hansen, while Kevin continued on his own way.

Taylor won the inaugural Extreme E championship for Rosberg X Racing.
