Buggyra ZM Racing’s Red-Lined REVO+ will run the Rallye du Maroc, but not in the Ultimate class as usual. Instead, Aliyyah Koloc and her father Martin are entered in Open where their focus will be on testing and developing their cars in racing conditions.

Aliyyah ran the first two races of the W2RC season at Dakar and Abu Dhabi, but was not registered for points like in 2024. Her last rally action was the Taklimakan Rally in May, where mechanical issues dropped her to 43rd overall.

Over the summer, her and Buggyra’s focus shifted to sports car racing. With the GT season wrapped up, it was back to business in the REVO.

“This test was very important for me to familiarize myself with the car again,” Aliyyah explains. “I could run my full test program in the dunes in good conditions. The car worked well and I feel confident for the rally.”

While Aliyyah races the REVO GT-R, Martin will take part in a non-turbo version of the REVO. The older Koloc returned to the driver’s seat for the first time in over two decades last year when he filled in for his daughter while she was recovering from injury, racing both the team’s Tatra truck and Aliyyah’s Red-Lined.

At the 2024 Rallye du Maroc, Aliyyah competed in Ultimate while Martin was in Open with the GT-R since the latter hadn’t been homologated for FIA competition yet. While it’s now legal, both are in Open for the 2025 race since they aren’t competing for results.

“We are not talking performance,” Martin began. “That’s why we entered the Open Class, as we need to test for the Dakar and have the best possible preparation for it. In Morocco, we are looking for reliability and strategy.”

“We are trying to measure the gap in speed since the GT-R is much faster. Obviously, my car is slower, so I need to figure out how big a margin I should take for the race car to carry out my driving duty in the best possible way.”

Before the race, the team held a three-day private test in the Moroccan desert. They also had plans to test in Poland but it was marred by rain.
