Two months and a half after revealing the 2026 off-road lineup, Polaris unveiled upgrades to the RZR and Ranger series for the new model year on Wednesday.
“The industry is more competitive than ever, and consumers look to Polaris to lead with performance, capability, and style,” Polaris Off-Road Vehicles president Reid Wilson stated. “For 2026, we’ve elevated our lineup with rider-driven innovation, from the redesigned RZR XP to the expanded Ranger XD 1500 NorthStar offering. Our commitment to continuous innovation is what has fueled Polaris for over 70 years, and it continues to drive us forward today.”
Ranger
The Ranger Crew XD 1500 NorthStar, Polaris’ utility vehicle, now comes in Texas and Mountaineer Editions. Both feature special liveries, the former obviously intending to show off state pride in black while the latter has a more mountainous look.
The Texas Edition comes with 32-inch Pro Armor Trekker tires and a full-surround JBL Trail 4200 audio system of front and rear speakers and two subwoofers. It has an MSRP of $51,999.
The Mountaineer Edition is slower than the standard NorthStar, but comes with 20% more low-end torque to better go through the mountains. It also has a higher rear drive gear ratio of 3.77 compared to the base version’s 3.07. It begins at $49,999.
These new models come on the heels of Polaris debuting the Ranger 500 in July.
Shipments to dealers will be in November.
RZR
On the performance UTV side, Polaris has created the RZR XP S. Branded as the company’s “strongest trail machine to date”, it is 72 inches wide with 25″ of suspension travel. Many of the features from the standard RZR XP have been adopted, while the driveline draws heavily from the RZR Pro S instead. It also comes with 32-inch Pro Armor Trekker tires like the RZR Pro S, 2.5-inch Walker Evans Racing shocks, and 16″ of ground clearance. It will cost $22,499.
Speaking of, the RZR XP has received a major redesign. Among the new features are a new front fascia, a bull bumper inspired by the RZR Pro, stronger chassis and suspension mounts, full underbody protection, and geared reverse for more torque. The RZR XP Sport model comes with a 114-hp ProStar 1000 engine, Walker Evans Racing shocks, Rockford Fosgate Stage 3 audio system, 30″ tires, and a 4,500-lb winch. The base XP begins at $19,999.
The Pro R Ultimate now has a massive 10.4″ vertical touchscreen display that’s 52 square inches in total area, 2.3 times as large as the previous model and by far the biggest of any UTV on the market. Additionally, it can render graphics 38 times faster and process at eight times the speed. Everything else remains the same like its 225-hp ProStar Fury 2.0 engine. The Ultimate has an MSRP of $43,999.
Polaris will also sell 200 RZR Pro S Calavera Edition models to commemorate the ten-year anniversary of the manufacturer’s operations in Mexico. This will have a 181-hp turbocharged engine, 28″ of travel, and a 96″ wheelbase. It will start at $40,499.
The new RZRs will begin shipping on October.
