Edvard Sokolovski was one of the top Enduro riders at RBI Sport’s rallies in 2025, finishing runner-up in class at both the Rallye Breslau and Fenix Rally. These combined with his W2RC starts have earned him his ticket to his maiden Dakar Rally in January.
In 2024, Sokolovski (surname sometimes written down as “Sokolovskij”) entered the Rallye du Maroc for the first time and finished 38th in Rally2. He followed it up with a 14th in class at the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge in February.
Over the summer, he went to Poland for the Rallye Breslau followed by the Fenix Rally in Tunisia. He won three stages in Breslau but lost the Enduro overall win to Dovyddas Karka on the final stage. In Fenix, he battled with Dương Nguyễn-Khoa but had little chance of passing him due to penalties. In either case, he placed second.
Outside of racing, the Lithuanian is the owner and CEO of HiLTUS, a construction and project management company.
“In business and Dakar, the principles remain the same: planning, reaction speed, and ability to act in the face of uncertainty,” Sokolovski said. “Consistency and direction determine the result. Although the bike class visually looks like an individual effort, behind each start is a large team from technical maintenance to logistics and analysis.
“Dakar is a marathon. The most important thing is a stable pace and concentration.”
This weekend, Sokolovski will compete in the Dubai International Baja as a final dress rehearsal. He finished ninth in the 2024 edition.
