Arturo Salas Jr. and Shane Logan have left HERO Racing, the outfit announced Wednesday. Ciaran Naran remains with the team with a new rider to be revealed.
A team statement reads:
As a team built on heart, hard work, and giving back, it’s always tough when the time comes to part ways. Today we’re announcing that Shane Logan and Arturo Salas will no longer be under the Hero Racing banner.
Shane and Arturo have been more than just riders at different times, they have been brothers, teammates, and ambassadors for the mission behind Hero Racing. Whether it was battling through long desert miles, representing the team with pride, or joining us in the moments of giving back, they played a real part in what makes our team special.
Transitions are never easy, but they’re a natural part of racing and growth. We’re grateful for every moment, every effort, and every contribution they made during their time with us.
We wish Shane and Arturo nothing but the best on the bike, in life, and in whatever future opportunities come their way. Once a hero, always a hero.
Salas joined HERO in 2024 when the Pro Moto 50 team moved up to the Unlimited class. He, Naran, and Carter Klein won HERO’s first race in the top level at San Felipe en route to taking the class championship at the end of the season.
When Klein left for SLR Honda’s #7X ahead of the 2025 season, Logan was recruited to take his place. Logan had previously raced with Salas on Juan Carlos Salvatierra’s team.
Salas was the rider of record for the #1X. 2025 proved to be a duel between them and the #7X, with the latter winning all four races with the #1X right behind each time. As a result, HERO’s title defense ended with them settling for second in the Pro Moto Unlimited standings and 24 points back.
While coming up short in SCORE, Logan defended his title in Best In The Desert’s Open Pro category.
