Fesh Fesh is skipping the 2026 Dakar Rally, but it’s because they have a much larger program planned for 2027. They intend to compete in the Rally with a new Tatra FF8 while debuting in the Dakar Classic with a fleet of Tatra 815 trucks and a Porsche 911.

The team fielded the Tatra FF7 prototype at this year’s Dakar, where it finished ninth in Truck with Tomáš Vrátný as driver. The truck was christened by Czech president Petr Pavel, who’s reunited with the team on various occasions since Dakar.

As its name suggests, the FF8 is supposed to be the sequel for Fesh Fesh’s prototype trucks. It is expected to compete at the 2026 Rallye du Maroc before heading to the 2027 Dakar Rally.

Meanwhile, Fesh Fesh has been busy acquiring and restoring the 815s and 911 for the Classic. The former fleet consists of a 6×6 truck along with three 4×4 versions, each having what they call “interesting racing histories.” For example, one of the four-wheel 815s was previously used by Petr Čapka, an ex-teammate of fellow Czech truck veteran Tomáš Tomeček, in the 2019 Africa Eco Race.

The 911 is being built by Autogalerie Hranice, who began the project in August.

“It took us a lot of time and effort, which is why we decided to skip the 2026 Dakar Rally and present the new Tatra FF8 special in 2026 after we have devoted the necessary time to its preparation,” reads a team statement.
