Grégoire Munster lost his WRC ride with M-Sport for the 2026 season, but will technically still be affiliated with them for January when he makes his Dakar Rally debut as the navigator for Jourdan Serderidis.

Frédéric Miclotte was supposed to call the shots for Serderidis but had personal obligations to attend to.

While Munster raced for M-Sport proper, Serderidis is a privateer partnered with M-Sport. The latter dabbled in cross-country rallies throughout the 2025 season in a similar arrangement, and will race Dakar in a Ford Raptor under the M-Sport Rally Raid Team banner.

Munster finished tenth in the 2025 WRC standings with a best finish of fifth at the Safari Rally and Rally Japan. However, he was not part of the 2026 lineup revealed by M-Sport on Tuesday, ending his three-year full-time stint with them.

When not driving, he’s occasionally tried his hand at rally co-driving. Earlier this month, Serderidis and Munster finished thrid at the East African Safari Classic Rally in a Porsche 911.

His younger brother Charles Munster is set to make his Dakar debut as well, driving for KTM X-Bow / G Rally Team. Their family team BMA (Bernard Munster Autosport) also oversees racing operations for Apache Automotive, who builds hybrid T3 cars.
