In 2015, WRC great Sébastien Loeb made his rally raid debut with a Peugeot 2008 DKR+. A decade later, the vehicle is available for purchase.

The 2008 DKR+ marked Peugeot’s rally raid return after 25 years away from the discipline. The French brand fielded two of them at the 2015 Rallye OiLibya du Maroc for Loeb and Carlos Sainz.

Both drivers boasted World Rally Championships, with Loeb having nine of them, but his inexperience in cross-country rally meant his primary objective for Morocco was to learn the sport as he went. His race was hampered by flat tires and eventually a rollover in Stage 3 that left him on his side for three hours, and he finished 44th overall and 34th in T1. Sainz retired in the penultimate stage.

A new 2008 DKR was built for Loeb to race at the 2016 Dakar Rally, while the one he drove in Morocco became a test car. The latter was eventually retired and stored in the Musée de l’Aventure Peugeot in Sochaux before going into private ownership in 2021.

The car has been with its third owner in A Coruña, Spain for the past year.

Built in 2014, the car features a twin-turbocharged three-liter V6 engine and a six-speed sequential transmission. The seller noted it is in “perfect working order, including its original ECU and all its components.”

A price is available upon request.
