Offroad Center Bianchi Prata is bringing three bikes to the 2027 Dakar Rally, two for the main race and another for Mission 1000. The latter is a replica of the Moeve electric motorcycle that team owner Pedro Bianchi Prata has been racing since 2025.
The e-bike was developed in a partnership with Moeve, who built a biocompost-and-synthetic fuel generator. The battery is replaced every 40 kilometers.
It made its debut at the Baja TT Escuderia Castelo Branco last March, where Bianchi finishe d 30th overall, followed by a 15th at the Baja TT Dehesa Extremadura. In September, it raced the BP Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal and became the first e-bike to complete a W2RC race as Bianchi’s time would’ve been good for 40th.
Bianchi also brought it out to the Addax Rally in November, where he finished ninth. Held in Morocco, this was the e-bike’s first desert rally and obviously offers an environment most similar to the Dakar Rally’s.
Offroad Center Bianchi Prata is the second team to confirm their entry for the 2027 Mission 1000 after X-raid’s hydrogen car. At the ongoing 2026 edition, both motorcycle teams—Segway and Arctic Leopard—are also using electric power.
The other two traditional bikes will compete in the main Dakar Rally in the Rally2 class. Bianchi himself has raced Dakar 12 times, the last being an 82nd in class in 2022.
Offroad Center Bianchi Prata explained:
This project is for riders who wish to entrust the Dakar to the team, fully trusting in our structure, organization and experience, and who have sponsors or their own funds that allow them to face a race of this size and demand. Throughout 2026, riders who join the project will have access to a comprehensive preparation plan designed to reduce risks and increase the likelihood of reaching Dakar:
- Participation in national and international rallies throughout the year
- Specific navigation training
- Stage training in Morocco, in a real desert environment
- Continuous work with a highly experienced team focused on reliability, strategy, and race management
This is not an invitation for naïve dreamers. It is an invitation for those who respect Dakar, for those who know that the dream requires investment, commitment, and serious preparation, and for those who want to experience this adventure with a team that knows Dakar in all its dimensions.
