Two years after his last start in the series and four years since his last action on the streets of Long Beach, Shaun Richardson is set for his Stadium Super Trucks return in April.
Richardson, a Briton living in Australia, has competed in SST since 2016. The bulk of his starts were naturally in his home country save for two starts in the United States: Watkins Glen in 2017 and Long Beach in 2022.
In his lone Long Beach weekend, he finished ninth in Race 1 before retiring from the second after hitting the wall on a poor landing. He hoped to return to Long Beach in 2023, but couldn’t get the sponsorship.
His latest action was in 2024 when the trucks came back to Australia for the Adelaide 500, finishing sixth and seventh. SST only had one weekend in 2025, at Long Beach.
During the only “full” season of the Boost Mobile Super Trucks in 2021, Richardson finished fourth in points with four podiums.
For 2025, Richardson ran the first two weekends of the SuperUtes Series.
The 2026 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach is on April 17–19.
