BRP Inc. announced Thursday the creation of Beyond the Ride, a 2030 sustainability program that focuses on improving the environmental impact of the company’s production network.

“This new sustainability program is a meaningful step for the future of BRP,” said company CEO Denis Le Vot. “By making sustainability part of how we improve every day, we want to drive long-term progress for our customers, employees, shareholders, and the communities around us.

“Beyond the Ride is about ensuring our industry grows in ways that are both exciting and responsible. I’m thrilled to start my journey at BRP with a plan that reflects who we are today and who we want to become.”

Beyond the Ride is the successor to BRP’s Corporate Social Responsibility program, both operating on the same “pillars” of Environment, Social, and Governance. Environment centers around modifying the facilities, supply chain, and products, Social focuses on the positive impact on the community, and Governance is about the decision making process.

On the Environment side, the goals are to reduce emissions in factories by 30% while diverting at least 85% of waste from landfills, and reduce freshwater consumption by 2030. BRP also wants to shrink the carbon footprint for transporting resources as well as greenhouse gas emissions by four percent on each ICE model.

Social entails donating one percent of pre-tax profits to community programs like responsible riding efforts and BRP’s Ride Out Intimidation initiative to fight bullying.

Governance involves training employees along the BRP Code of Ethics and introducing “ethical standards and technological safeguards” concerning the use of generative artificial intelligence.

“Beyond the Ride rallies our employees, partners, riders and communities around a shared ambition for progress, as everyone plays a role in shaping the future of our industry,” said Elise Auvachez Millot, the VP of Public Affairs. “With this new program, we are ensuring performance and sustainability move as one, without compromising the thrill. We’re focusing on everyday improvements, because we believe that small, consistent actions drive real lasting transformations.”
