Friday, April 3, was Ken Block Day. 4/3’s arrival also marked the conclusion of seven auctions by 43 Institute to support its mission of providing opportunities in motorsports and the arts.
Held on Bring a Trailer, each auction awarded the winning bid a ride-along or related experience in a race car. All proceeds went to the foundation, while the seven winners totaled up to contribute approximately $120,789.65.
The largest auction was for a one-day trip to Pastranaland, the Annapolis home of Travis Pastrana complete with extreme sports trails and parks. Pastrana himself will direct the winner and five others around the complex, trying out things like vehicle and other antics. The winning bid was for $60,000.
$17,000 won a ride-along with Jeff Zwart at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in June. The session will take place during practice. Zwart, a 2018 inductee into the Pikes Peak Hill Climb Museum Hall of Fame who finished 19th in 2025, will race his Porsche 911 GT3 up the mountain.
Across the pond, Tuthill will host a Porsche 911 rally car ice driving experience at Below Zero in Åre, Sweden. The winner bid €11,000 (approximately USD$12,723.92).
Two auctions had $9,043 as the winning bid: riding with Terrible Herbst Motorsports as they test for the Baja 500, and joining X Games star Bucky Lasek at the Rally Ranch in Texas for a full-day experience with the Rally Ready Driving School.
Cole Powelson, a former Pikes Peak class winner, will host the winner and three others at the Block family’s ranch in Kamas, Utah. There, they will do a driving experience in Powelson’s hillclimb-optimized Can-Am Maverick nicknamed the Rogue Maverick. This bid went for $7,543.
A $5,443 bid won a day with Vaughn Gittin Jr. at the RTR Lab in Concord, North Carolina. While Gittin has been increasing his desert slate in recent times, the Formula DRIFT star will take the winner and a friend for a spin in his drift Fords.
43 Institute is also hosting an online auction for various swag through April 7. Items up for auction include Lego sets, autographed merchandise, and even Supercross tickets.
