After running the Rallye du Maroca and Dakar Rally as WhiteReds, Darek Łysek’s crew has rebranded to Hurtimo Rally Team. The team revealed the new name and truck on Tuesday ahead of the Morocco Desert Challenge.
Hurtimo was previously a title sponsor of WhiteReds before assuming the rest of the team name.
Łysek, who usually races trucks in the Polish national championship, finished second in Truck at last October’s Rallye du Maroc. It was his first time competing in the W2RC, racing an IVECO EVO 4 from MM Technology.

His Dakar debut ended with an 11th in class. Like most MM drivers, he had a tumultuous race as he lost his hood early on before smashing his windshield in Stage 9. A rollover ultimately kept him out of the top ten, but he still reached the finish.
Due to the damage it took, the truck—nicknamed Czesław—is unavailable for Morocco. Thus, he signed with Team de Rooy to get another IVECO.
Łukasz “Łoker” Łaskawiec replaces Jacek Czachor in the cockpit, while Darek Rodewald returns as navigator. Their #503 is one of eight trucks signed up for the MDC.
