The Rally TT Jaén Mar de Olivos, which was supposed to be the second round of the 2025 Spanish Cross-Country Rally Championship (CERTT, Campeonato de España de Rallyes Todo Terreno), has been canceled due to a “substantial difference in some institutional financial support and a series of events that have occurred recently lead us to the test being unfeasible this season.”

The Jaén Mar de Olivos 4×4 Club did not specify either reason in its announcement on Friday.

Traditionally held in April in the province of Jaén, the race was the CERTT season opener through 2024. It was bumped to the second round for 2025, scheduled to take place on April 4–6 after the Rally TT Guadalajara in March. 2025 would have been the rally’s seventh edition.

“This does not mean we abandon the idea of continuing trying, so that in the future this test returns to the national calendar, and if it could be, with more force than ever,” continued the statement.

“We can only thank all those who have worked with us year after year and have accompanied us on this journey, participants, volunteers, technicians, timekeepers, and all of us who are part of this event.

“We apologize for not being able to complete the test, we have tried everything within our power, but sometimes things don’t work out no matter how much love and effort you put into them.

“Thank you for your understanding and we hope to continue seeing you in the ‘racing’.”

The 2025 season begins in Guadalajara on March 14–15. The Baja TT Dehesa Extremadura is now Round #2, scheduled for May 1–3 and also part of the FIA European Baja Cup.
