Brock Heger’s legendary streak continued Saturday when he won the San Felipe 250, marking his sixth consecutive UTV victory. For his achievements, he and co-driver Justin Wilson were recognized by the Imperial County Board of Supervisors ahead of their meeting on Monday morning.
Heger is already considered a bit of an off-road prodigy who has won in virtually every discipline that he’s entered. His streak began at the 2024 Baja 1000 when he was both the fastest among Pro UTV Open entries and the quickest UTV as a whole, a run that also secured him the class championship. In January, he and RZR Factory Racing teammate Max Eddy Jr. teamed up for his Dakar Rally debut; despite going up against an army of Can-Am Maverick Rs, Heger was consistent with two stage wins to score the SSV overall victory.
A month later at King of the Hammers, he won the Toyo Tires Desert Challenge’s Limited event followed by the Can-Am UTV Hammers Championship. The streak extended to five in March by topping the Mint 400 Limited Race. 131 Off-Road spoke with Heger soon after his Mint win.
His run appeared to be in jeopardy at San Felipe, the first race of the 2025 SCORE season, when he encountered early mechanical issues. He managed to recover and chase down the leaders before capitalizing on teammate Cayden MacCachren’s DNF in the final stretch to be the top UTV yet again.
Afterward, he returned to his hometown of El Centro, California. The farming city is the county seat for Imperial County, whose board of supervisors honored him with a certificate. Wilson, who was his navigator for all but Dakar, was unable to attend but received recognition as well.
“Just thank you guys for doing this,” Heger told the board. “Just going to keep trying to put my right foot down.”
When asked if he could “repeat all of those accomplishments” on the certificate, he quipped, “I’d rather not.”
Heger will now try to see if he can extend the stretch to seven wins at the Baja 500 in June.
