It might not be a V8 like the Ford Raptor, but the Toyota Hilux’s V6 twin turbo still packs a punch.

A month after meeting the Sidemen, Eryk Goczał got to connect with another Internet personality when Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins visited Energylandia. Watkins (hereafter referred to by his abbreviated username Speed) was in Poland in another chapter of his globetrotting livestreams when he decided to check out the park operated by Goczał’s father Marek.

While inclement weather in Zator led to concern over whether he could go on the roller coasters, Speed was taken to Wooo 222 in the meantime. Upon entering the garage, he was immediately taken aback by Goczał’s Toyota Hilux (see above quote).

After Goczał did some demonstrations in a drift car and Can-Am Maverick R with Speed as his co-driver, they returned to Wooo 222. As Speed stood in front of the Hilux, Goczał decided to show off the Hilux’s motor and promptly sent him sprinting across the garage in disbelief. He also encouraged Speed to press on the accelerator to try it himself, drawing a similar reaction to the ear-piercing noise.

Goczał eventually mentioned the Hilux uses a stock Toyota V35A engine. Speed’s response: “How do I get a car that sounds like that, y’all?”

Energylandia Rally Team—Eryk, Marek, and uncle Michał—had spent the early part of summer testing their Hiluxes in Morocco. The trio will race them in this weekend’s Baja Aragón. In his maiden W2RC race with the Hilux at Abu Dhabi in February, Eryk won a stage and finished 11th in class.
