With the Stock class set to have its own World Rally-Raid Championship trophy in 2026, manufacturers will be paying fees as well for the first time.

New regulations for the class led to an increase in brands beyond Toyota such as Land Rover, prompting the FIA to introduce new trophies for its drivers, navigators, and manufacturers starting with the 2026 season. To earn points for the Stock manufacturers’ championship, a marque must pay €41,072.

SSV also has a manufacturers’ championship, though it isn’t awarded since Polaris and Can-Am don’t commit to it despite their rivalry. Even then, the FIA still increased the entry fee from €23,100 to €24,653. Ultimate manufacturers, where it’s currently a derby between Toyota and Dacia, will have to pay €61,631 to be eligible for the 2026 title; last year, it was €57,750.

RallyGP is the only bike class with a trophy for marques. Their fee has increased by €2K to €24,000 from 2025.

Naturally, every class has seen an increase in registration fees for the competitors’ titles too. Stock and Challenger have the same costs as they up from €11,550 to €12,327, while SSV remains the cheapest.

If a team or competitor is not registered for the championship, they can still compete but won’t earn points or be classified by the W2RC even if they win. For example, Brock Heger won the SSV class at the Dakar Rally in January but third-placed Alexandre Pinto is considered the W2RC winner and earned the maximum 50 points since Heger and runner-up Francisco López Contardo didn’t sign up for points.

Rally2, Rally3, and Quad riders all earn points at each event even if they are not racing the full season. Such a change was introduced for the 2025 season. In 2024, Rally2 and Quad racers had to pay €2,500 to earn points while Rally3 had it for free since they only appeared at a handful of rounds.

Truck does not award a trophy so entry fees are by race. The W2RC stopped having a T5 championship after 2023.
