Of KTM’s 2026 off-road bikes, enduro probably saw the biggest changes compared to their motocross and cross-country counterparts. The new enduro series was revealed on Tuesday.

The most obvious difference from last year even to the untrained eye is that the smaller two-stroke bikes were rebranded as XC-W rather than the usual EXC, meaning they’re now known as the KTM 125 XC-W and 250 XC-W. It is not to be confused with the “XC” used for cross-country. The EXC name is still used on the two-stroke KTM 300 EXC, the only Euro5+ homologated two-stroke bike on the market.

Four-stroke enduro bikes are suffixed as EXC-F, and that naming convention will remain for 2026. Four EXC-F models will be available in 250, 350, 450, and 500 specs.

The bikes now use a 48-millimeter XACT Closed Cartridge suspension fork from WP Suspension, which is also present on the cross-country and motocross builds. These work in tandem with shorter springs, a redesigned pressure reservoir, and a WP Xplor hydrostop system on the front fork. WP produced the Xplor PDS shocks as well. The new suspension system reduces the bikes’ weight by 200 grams.

The tank spoilers have been modified to redistribute airflow.

Maxxis continues to supply tires from its MaxxEnduro line, though the rear tires are now made from a softer compound.

Like the XC and SX, the XC-W and EXC now have a protector cap on the CPC fuel connector to protect it from dirt and water. A radiator cap has also been implemented for the cooling system and radiator fans on the KTM 300 EXC and all EXC-F bikes.

As with all 2026 models, the enduro lineup features a redesigned livery. Unlike their sisters, the enduros don’t include purple and instead bring in splashes of red on the fork guards and tank spoilers.

A KTM statement proclaims:

Enduro trails have lacked some fresh orange in 2025, so now is the time to peel away both the covers and the limits for the rest of the year and beyond with the 2026 KTM EXC range. We’ve redefined our conquering Enduro collection and also the limits thanks to blankets updates and key refinements to the principal seven models, and with more specials to come.

Tracks, obstacles, stages, Hard Enduro, all-weather, all-competition: the 2026 KTM Enduro roster has the pedigree and the focus to satisfy any level, any ability, any contest. The only real question is whether riders can make the most of the engineering?

The 2026 KTM EXC range is the culmination of many years of R&D fighting at the sharp end of Enduro competition worldwide, bringing dynamic race-bred performance, focused ergonomics, and leading technology to the start line. Ready for the next lap?

The KTM 300 EXC currently shines in hard enduro with factory rider Manuel Lettenbichler, who won Red Bull Romaniacs for the sixth time in late July.

The enduro reveal comes eight days after KTM resumed full production at its factories.
