With KTM’s plants back in full production, the company’s first order of business is to unveil its 2026 off-road lineup. That task began Wednesday with the reveal of the KTM SX line of motocross bikes. All will be sent to KTM dealers throughout August.

Ten models will be available, consisting of six full-size motorcycles and four minibikes. The former entails the two-stroke KTM 125 SX, 250 SX, 300 SX, as well as the four-stroke 250 SX-F, 350 SX-F, and 450 SX-F. Youth riders get the KTM Sportminicycles line, which consists of the KTM 50 SX and its Factory Edition, the KTM 65 SX, and the KTM 85 SX.

One of the main technical adjustments made from KTM’s previous motocross bikes is to the radiator closure to make it easier to access; this also applies to the Sportminicycles, which now has the same design. For bikes with a fuel injection unit, a protector cap was added to on the fuel link quick lock system to better protect it. The wire harness routing on the two-stroke KTM SXs has been reorganized as well, as have the fixing points.

The 50 SX and 65 SX have a new WP XACT AER front fork to improve damping. On the 50 SX, 65 SX, and 85 SX, the triple clamps now have a standardized wrench size of 17 millimeters and a closed screw nut layout matching their adult counterparts. A stabilization cap was added to the Sportminicycles’ throttle cable assembly to keep it from deforming.

On the 65 SX, the clutch fixation system has been redesigned with more torque and a new laser-cut exhaust flange gasket. The 85 SX features a new brake lever with two modes for the brake tip length, intended to help riders transition from the 65 to the 85.

Aesthetically, the bikes will feature a new orange livery with increased purple on the tank spoilers and fork guards. The 50 SX Factory Edition uses the same paint scheme as the factory team.

“We’re in the fourth year of the current generation for the KTM SX full-size models, the third for the KTM 50 SX and 65 SX and the second for the KTM 85 SX: the bikes keep moving from strength to strength as we find measures and changes to make sure we stay at the forefront of choice for all racers,” stated KTM motocross development head Manfred Edlinger. “The whole full-size range has been re-styled, but we’ve also found ways to bolster the KTM Sportminicycles because we know the components, the performance and the technical base of these special KTM bikes will satisfy the hungriest little racer or their supportive family.

“Embrace the ‘bar’ again, because we’re pumped to continue lifting it in motocross.”

The SX is the first of various 2026 off-road bikes that will be unveiled in the coming days. KTM will reveal the cross-country motorcycles on Thursday followed by enduro on August 5.
