Most of us probably remember taking cardboard boxes and turning them into cars, planes, and other vehicles to “drive”. It seems that childhood whimsy never left Method Race Wheels.

At their SEMA booth is a 1:1 scale Trophy Truck made solely from the cardboard boxes that the wheel manufacturer uses to ship their products. The project, titled “Beyond the Box”, is supposed to promote the message that the box a customer receives represents the care that the company puts into their work.

It took over ten thousand square feet of corrugated cardboard to build and 200 hours to design and assemble.

“We wanted to take something familiar and turn it into a statement,” Method’s general manager Matt Harris stated. “Our box symbolizes the beginning of the journey for our fans and by building a full-size Trophy Truck out of those same boxes, we aim to prove that what we deliver is far more than just a quality product. It’s passion, ingenuity and a sense of pride.

“Because beyond the box is where you discover the true spirit of Method. Born in the desert, we’re using this moment to celebrate our racers, our partners and our people, all of whom play an important role in the story of what happens beyond the box.”

Method is the title sponsor for SCORE’s qualifying sessions. They and KMC are among the most prominent wheel makers for Trophy Trucks.
