NORRA has created the King of Baja Challenge for 2026, reserved for 6100 trucks.

As part of the challenge, Class 6100 trucks will be the first to start each day. Of course, whoever in the category is the highest finisher wins the challenge.

Prize money is determined and allocated depending on how many 6100 entrants a race gets. For example, five registrations will lead to $20,000, ten for $40 thousand, 15 for $60 thousand, and $80K if 20 show up. 25 and over will allow for the maximum of $100,000.

If that $100K is hit, the winner will receive $70,000 while second and third respectively earn $20,000 and $10,000. Of course, the numbers are scaled accordingly for smaller amounts should the entry list not hit 25.

“The 6100 truck class is a driver’s class and NORRA’s Baja is going to let the driver’s decide who the King of Baja is at the Mexican 1000,” reads a statement from NORRA.

6100 trucks compete in NORRA as the Evolution 6100 category. Zak Langley won the class at this year’s Mexican 1000 while UFC great Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone did so at the NORRA 500.
