Starting and ending the FIM Sand Races World Championship with the Enduropale du Touquet twice was a fun idea, but not one the federation wants to repeat. The 2026–27 schedule released Thursday only lists it once as the season finale, with the calendar instead beginning with the Morocco Sand Race in September.

The 2026–2027 season will be five races long across four countries, a one-round reduction from 2025–26 to “reduce logistical costs and encourage participation”. France is the only repeat nation with Enduropale and the Ronde des Sables – Loon Plage.

The Morocco Sand Race is a new event that will take place on the beaches of El Jadida. The other four are returning dates, with Ronde des Sables being added midseason last year.
