Championship Off-Road announced Thursday that its 2026 season finale at Glen Helen Raceway has been pushed back a week. Rather than the original slot of September 25–26, the Glen Helen Off-Road National will instead take place on October 2–3.
The change is intended to help maximize interest in the weekend. For example, it longer clashes with the SuperMotocross World Championship’s final race in Ridgedale, which would allow Ken Roczen to take part like he did in 2025 if he wishes.
The extra week also gives competitors more time to plan out the westward trip. It is the only race on the Midwestern series’ schedule held on the West Coast. Glen Helen was added in 2025.
“We have been presented an opportunity that will allow off-road to broaden its reach to new audiences and bring in new fans, sponsors, and athletes to our series and our sport,” explained series boss Carl Schubitzke. “The group at Glen Helen has been a great partner in working on the new date and helping Champ Off-Road deliver world-class racing in our season finale.
“We understand scheduling has already begun for our teams and fans, and we appreciate the on-going support as we make Glen Helen one for the ages.”
The other seven rounds remain untouched.
