The seventh Baja 400 will once again be a loop starting and finishing in Ensenada. It will span 423.16 miles for Pro classes whereas Sportsman racers will go 397.29 miles.

The course begins at Boulevard Costero (where the timed start is, rather than Rancho Nelson) before passing through a speed zone at the Ensenada Wash. From there, they will go to Highway 3 and into the dirt. After Rancho Nelson are Ojos Negros and past the highway toward Rancho La Vuelta.

Ejidos Héroes de la Independencia and Leyes de Reforma await, followed by the Goat Trail in Valle de la Trinidad and Mike’s Sky Rancho. After Mike’s Sky, the race heads into the Sierra de San Pedro Mártir mountains and past the National Astronomical Observatory nearby into San Quintin. Santo Domingo Wash separates the two sites.

After the San Civente Wash is Eréndira Beach and Punta San Isidro. From here, the race heads north along the Pacific coast to Punta Cabras and Santo Tomás, through Ojos Negros and Curva del Lechero before rejoining Highway 3. Rancho Nelson is the end of the timed section.

Only one physical checkpoint is present at RM 216.63 in Pena Colorada.

Everyone will have 16 hours to complete the race.
