Save for the pandemic-plagued 2020, the Stadium Super Trucks have appeared at the Grand Prix of Long Beach every year of the series’ existence. This won’t change in 2027 as the trucks will continue supporting IndyCar with two rounds on April 17 and 18.
Unlike the past five years, when Long Beach was the first time fans got to see the trucks in action in a given season, the California street circuit will actually be SST’s second stop of 2027. In late February, the trucks will demo the streets of San Felipe in support of NORRA’s new season opener there.
SST boss Robby Gordon, who is part of NORRA’s leadership, also brought his trucks out to the Mexican 1000 in April.
“There’s nothing quite like the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, and we’re looking forward to making 2027 another incredible experience for our fans,” Grand Prix Association of Long Beach head Jim Liaw stated. “From the best drivers in the world battling wheel-to-wheel on our legendary street circuit to the concerts, entertainment and excitement throughout the weekend, this event delivers an atmosphere you simply can’t find anywhere else.
“Our fans will see that we keep raising the bar, bringing them even closer to the action and delivering the kind of racing and entertainment that has made Long Beach a must-attend event for over 50 years.”
In April’s action, Max Gordon won Race 1 while Matt Brabham took Race 2. Robby finished second in both.
Long Beach was SST’s only points weekend in 2025 and 2026.
