A new era has dawned upon the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship. On Thursday, the FIM announced ProTouchGlobal GmbH has become the championship’s promoter starting with the 2025 season, saving the series from an uncertain doom.

The HEWC used to be run by WESS Promotion until KTM withdrew its sponsorship due to financial trouble. Without its biggest supporter, WESS was unable to organize a 2025 season. Not wanting to give up on the championship, the FIM sent out requests for expressions of interest to any party that wanted to become the new promoter over the next ten years.

ProTouchGlobal ultimately answered the call. Based in Goldau, Switzerland, PTG primarily promotes cycling events like the UCI World Championships and Tour de Suisse. The firm is also involved with the Roof of Africa, a mainstay on the Hard Enduro calendar, as a “sponsor procurement and event activation” consultant.

“We’re honored to take the reins of such a prestigious and adrenaline-charged championship,” said PTG managing director Robbie Hunter. “The FIM Hard Enduro World Championship Events are not just your average races—it’s a battle between rider, machine, and nature to the extreme. Our mission is to elevate the sport while preserving its raw, untamed essence.”

Six races are tentatively planned starting with the Valleys Hard Enduro in May, which was also on WESS Promotion’s provisional calendar. PTG is also in talks to add Red Bull Romaniacs and Abestone.

“The FIM welcomes our new Promoter for FIM Hard Enduro World Championship and it promises to be exciting times with many new initiatives planned to raise the status of this series,” commented John Collins, director of the FIM Enduro Commission. “We would like to take this opportunity to thank the previous Promoter and their staff for all the work done in promoting this Championship with the FIM to date and working to ensure that Hard Enduro has maintained its important place in the Enduro community. A lot of work will be needed but I am confident the future of FIM Hard Enduro World Championship is now secure and will grow and be something we will all be proud of.”
