The Can-Am Maverick has been Hedda Hosås’ best friend as of late, so it only makes sense that she’d eventually drive for South Racing. She will compete at the Baja Aragón for South, once again competing in the SSV class.
Hosås made her cross-country rally debut at the 2024 Dubai International Baja, where she finished sixth in SSV with a Maverick prepared by R-X Sport. She also teamed up with R-X for the W2RC’s Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge in February, placing tenth in class and second to last among finishers because an alternator problem forced her to miss a stage; still, she scored a fourth on the final day.
Since 2023, she has also been driving a Maverick in SxS Nordic. Hosås returned to the series in April at Falköpings Motorklubb, where she finished 13th and 12th on each day.
South Racing is the factory rally raid team for Can-Am, fielding SSV programs in the W2RC and Bajas.
Outside of rally, Hosås serves as the R&D driver for Extreme H tasked with developing the Pioneer 25 ahead of its debut. She’s been involved with the series since its Extreme E days, competing full-time in 2022 and 2023 before transitioning to her current testing role.
The Baja Aragón is scheduled for Jule 25–27. It is the fifth race of the 2025 FIA World Baja Cup.
