Call of Duty needs no introduction as the most popular first-person shooter on the market (not that Battlefield isn’t trying). Polaris Off-Road Vehicles is keen on tapping into that market, having partnered with Activision to add the Polaris RZR Pro R 4 to Call of Duty: Warzone in 2024 followed by the Sportsman XP 1000 in May.
When Season 1 of Warzone launched on Wednesday, both vehicles made their return for use in the game. The 2025 edition was taglined as the “biggest Season 1 ever” as the game integrated with Black Ops 7 that came out in mid-November.
“With our ongoing partnership with Polaris, we’re thrilled to introduce authentic real-world vehicles to the game, offering fast, fun and dynamic new ways for players to traverse Call of Duty: Warzone,” Activision’s director of partnerships Cody Neal stated.
The RZR Pro R was added as part of Modern Warfare III‘s Season 4 in 2024. Compared to the generic UTV, the RZR has a tighter turning circle along with better handling and acceleration. It was replaced by the four-door RZR Pro R 4 with the start of Season 1 in tandem with Black Ops 6.
The Sportsman joined the roster in May with BO6‘s Season 4, likewise replacing the non-branded ATV. It is wider with a greater wheelbase and has better suspension than the previous vehicle.
Of course, both are mainly intended for rapid travel rather than actual combat. Ironically, Polaris does develop the MRZR for military purposes.
“Our goal has always been to connect the experience of Polaris performance with audiences who share our passion for exploration and adventure,” Polaris marketing VP Holly Spaeth commented. “Gaming is the next frontier of that mission and by partnering with Call of Duty, we’re inviting millions of players to experience the power and agility of Polaris vehicles in a new way.”
In tandem with the launch, Polaris is offering a sweepstakes from December 4 through January 1, 2026, to win a RZR and Sportsman with themed liveries.
Polaris previously worked with the Battlefield franchise to bring the RZR and Sportsman into 2042. Battlefield 6 does not have either and just uses generic models.
