During January’s Dakar Rally, Puck Klaassen was just as busy with a camcorder as she was behind the wheel. After a month of editing, she officially launched a YouTube channel with her first video coming out on Wednesday.

The video is a behind-the-scenes look at Dakar, with footage in the bivouac each day as well as clips before and after the event. All of it was shot on a “dad cam”, a nicknamed for the classic camcorder.

“I’ve had the chance to go through all the footage on the dad cam and stuff that we took at Dakar,” Klaassen explained in the video’s introduction. “I thought it’d be cool to make a little summary of everything we shot, kind of like behind the scenes and unseen bits from Dakar. I really enjoyed making this video, so I hope you guys enjoy it as well.”

2026 was Klaassen’s third Dakar after racing the 2024 Dakar Classic and finishing 19th in Challenger at the 2025 Rally. It was also the debut race for KTM X-Bow powered by G Rally Team, and certainly a rally to remember for Klaassen as she won Stages 3 and 8. She was the only non-Taurus to score a stage win and finished fifth in class.
