In the wake of Toby Price being disqualified from the San Felipe 250, SCORE International reiterated its agreement with the Competition Review Board’s verdict and confirmed he and co-driver Brent Bauman were those involved.

The sanctioning body released the following statement on Monday:

Following the review of evidence submitted to SCORE International regarding an incident that occurred during pre-running on Friday, March 27 near Race Mile 52 of the SCORE San Felipe 250, the SCORE Competition Review Board (CRB) has issued a disqualification to driver of record of the SCORE Trophy Truck #46 Toby Price and the navigator Brent Bauman for unsportsmanlike conduct.

After evaluating all materials provided, the CRB concluded that the actions in question were attributable to Toby Price and Brent Bauman.

The CRB, comprised of active and retired SCORE racers across multiple classes, reached this decision collectively based on the information available.

SCORE International supports the Competition Review Board’s decision and will continue to enforce the standards that define this sport and its competitors.

SCORE did not mention if there will be further penalties save for the DSQ.

Price landed in hot water after being caught stacking rocks on the course in Matomi Wash the day before Saturday’s race, where he and Paul Weel finished eighth in Trophy Truck and 17th overall. The track was cleared of the hazards before anyone could hit them, though the fallout has been immense with calls to suspend Price.

On Sunday, the Competition Review Board—a 12-man council of racers and officials—heard the case and agreed to disqualify the #46. Weel, who splits driving reps with Price, stressed he was not involved in the act and said he would launch his own internal review of Team Australia.
