Buggyra ZM Racing will contest the FIA European Baja Cup in 2026. While Aliyyah Koloc continues as the #1 driver in the turbocharged Red-Lined REVO GT-R, the non-turbo REVO T1+ will be split between her father Martin and Adam Lacko before the later gets his own car starting in July.
Lacko makes his cross-country rally debut after a decorated career in the FIA European Truck Racing Championship. He won the 2017 title, and plans to return to the series for the Nürburgring and Autodrom Most rounds after a three-year absence. His experience also extends to various FIA GT championships, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, and the World Touring Cup Championship.
Martin, the team president and two-time ETRC champ, has been dabbling in select rallies since 2024 after nearly 25 years away from the driver’s seat. He and his daughter competed in January’s Dakar Rally, but both retired after Aliyyah hurt her arm when she hit a ditch while Martin had a gearbox failure.
Due to what the team called “ongoing uncertainty around T1+ regulations”, they are focusing on bajas rather than the W2RC and are therefore treating 2026 as a “transitional phase”. Aliyyah, 20 years younger than Lacko, is being entrusted with mentoring him in his new discipline.
“Adam has huge experience, but rally raid is a completely different world,” she stated. “Working with a navigator, managing the rhythm of a stage, and reading the terrain are things you only learn by doing. I’ve been through that process, so it’s natural for me to share what I can and help Adam settle in more quickly. At the same time, competing together in a third discipline shows how much we’ve grown as a team over the years.”
