Star Wars: Galactic Racer, the first full-fledged racing game in the franchise since 2002, has been confirmed for an October 6 release. A release date trailer was launched on Thursday.

Unlike the teaser in December or the official gameplay trailer in February, the release date video does not provide context to the game’s story. After some brief gameplay shots that depict the protagonist Shade racing in speeders, bikes, and a podracer, the video cuts to discussing the available perks for those who pre-order the game.

The game will be available in base form as well as Deluxe and Collector’s Editions. Digital pre-orders can select between Standard or Deluxe, while the physical releases for these are only available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as the PC version is only on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

All pre-orders regardless of version will receive a special player card in multiplayer along with a bonus livery based on the N-1 starfighter that can be used on landspeeders, skim speeders, and speeder bikes. There will also be a second pre-order player card and livery whose colors depend on the console: white-blue-teal for PS5, white-green-black for Xbox, and white-red-blue for PC.

The Deluxe Edition comes with three bonus vehicles—the Kor Sarun: Darc X landspeeder, Ciza T speeder bike, and Rac S skim speeder—along with an 80-page digital art book and special time attack events for the aforementioned. All of these will also be available as buyable DLC.

The Collector’s Edition has everything from its Deluxe counterpart plus a metal model of the Kor Sarun: Darc X, Kestar’s Banner, Shade’s patch, a physical copy of the artbook, and a steel case with a custom cardboard slip cover.

On Steam, pre-ordering the base game will go for $59.99 while the Deluxe Edition is $79.99. The Collector’s Edition is approximately $157.02.

Galactic Racer is the first Star Wars racing game since Racer Revenge in 2002 though the genre has appeared as minigames in later titles like Knights of the Old Republic, LEGO Star Wars, and Kinect Star Wars.
