Toyota Gazoo Racing is back at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, and will once again bring the Toyota DKR GR Hilux. This time, Henk Lategan will be the driver behind the wheel.

Lategan is currently sixth in the World Rally-Raid Championship overall standings, coming off a runner-up finish at the Desafío Ruta 40 in May behind teammate Seth Quintero. Quintero had represented TGR at the 2025 FOS, taking the Hilux around the hillclimb and rally stages.

It has been an up-and-down season for the South African and Toyota as a whole, starting on a sour note at Dakar when Lategan was leading the Hiluxes before a wheel bearing failure took him out late. He then retired from Portugal due to crash damage that accumulated. Still, TGR has been frank about 2026 being a development year for the new Hilux with 2027 being when the car would finally be at full power. Naturally, the 1–2 in Argentina has assuaged those Dakar concerns too.

TGR will also bring the GR Yaris Rally1 to be driven by everyone in the team’s WRC program (Elfyn Evans, Takamoto Katsuta, Sébastien Ogier, Sami Pajari, and Oliver Solberg), along with the TR010 Hybrid that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans earlier in June. The three cars will be on display when not participating in any on-track events.

Goodwood plans to invite several rally raid vehicles, past and present, for the FOS. For example, Dakar Classic outfit Gazelles Offroad Team is bringing their 1988 Land Rover 110.
