The Can-Am Maverick R can now add a Stevie Award to its list of accolades. The UTV and maker BRP Inc. were honored at the International Business Stevie Awards in Lisbon on October 10, receiving the Gold Stevie for New Product in Transportation.

The Stevie Awards are a series of trophies given in recognition of corporate success. After being nominated, every entry that gets an average score of at least 7.75 out of 10 from the judges is guaranteed a Stevie. Whoever has the highest score in a category will get the Gold Stevie, while Silver is awarded for 8/10 entries and everyone else a Bronze.

“Transforming the off-road experience” was the judges’ rationale for conferring the Golden Stevie on the Maverick R, with one judge remarking that the “innovation, durability and ability to perform in diverse conditions by the Can-Am Maverick R is impressive.”

It is the second Stevie for BRP Inc. in 2025. The Can-Am Pulse and Origin electric bikes were recognized at the Stevie Awards for Technology Excellence in September.

“The exhilarating Maverick R represents BRP’s commitment to creating a machine that changes the industry by smashing through the confines of performance and design boundaries,” Can-Am global product director Christian St-Onge commented. “The entire Can-Am SSV team is very proud to see the innovation behind the Maverick R be recognized once again.”

The Maverick R also won a Red Dot Design Award in July.
