The third Merzouga 1000 Classic will span 1,790.64 kilometers. 1,496.36 km are timed sections, while the remaining 303 km are liaisons.

The vintage race begins in its namesake of Merzouga before heading to bivouacs in M’Hamid, Foum Zguid, and Sidi Ali and finishing back home in Merzouga. It spans five stages total starting on Monday, April 20, and finishing on Friday, April 24.

Each stage consists of two liaison sections—one before the Selective Section and another after—and the SS itself. The pre-SS liaison is described below as “Liaison A”, while the one following the timed section and on the road to the bivouac is “Liaison B”.

Unlike most historic rally raids, which follow regularity rules, the Merzouga 1000 Classic is a timed rally where setting the fastest time through the SS matters.

Grégoire de Mévius is the defending winner.
