The fifth stage in MM Technology’s rally trucks was unveiled on Tuesday. The MMT EVO5 will make its debut at the Baja Aragón later in July via three trucks piloted by Martin Macík Jr., Karel Poslední, and Claudio Bellina.

It replaces the EVO4 introduced in late 2024, which went on to win the 2025 Dakar Rally with Macík. EVO4 trucks also dominated the 2026 edition but were set back by a variety of issues like crashes and mechanicals.

The EVO series debuted in 2007 when MMT had a partnership with LIAZ. Upon switching to IVECO, the accompany number pattern was reset: the final LIAZ was an EVO4, then the IVECO EVO1 was created in 2019. The IVECO EVO2 came in 2021 followed by the EVO3 in 2023.

Even though it’s called the EVO5, the truck does not have IVECO branding. Instead, MM Technology itself is the manufacturer.

On the exterior, the EVO5 has new headlights and light bar that are three times brighter than their predecessors. There are also lights on the side so it can be seen at night in the dunes.

Inside the cockpit, the dashboard and tire inflation system have been redesigned. The chassis and cabin were reinforced too, while the damper layout is modified.

“For us, the MMT EVO5 represents another major step forward, both technologically and visually,” Macík stated. “We wanted to show the world our signature, and I believe we have built a truck that will once again push the boundaries of rally raid in our category.”

Bellina and Italtrans Racing Team finished ninth in Truck at this year’s Dakar in the EVO4. Poslední was previously with Buggyra before switching to MMT over the summer, and will compete as a client under the Valtorro Unlimited banner.
