The Honda Passport is back in Baja.
On Thursday, October 29, Honda Racing Corporation USA will unveil the new Honda Passport Baja Spec which Bryze Menzies will pilot in the Trophy Truck category starting with the 2027 Baja 500.
This is not the same model as the Honda Baja Passport which Honda Off-Road Factory Racing fielded in 2025. That Passport, driven by Ethan Ebert, was for the TT 2WD class and featured a 550-hp engine. Menzies’ Passport will have over twice as much at 1,300 horsepower.
Honda Off-Road Factory Racing was American Honda’s desert racing team from 2015 to 2025. Run by Jeff Proctor, it consisted of a Talon division as well as the Passport. The latter replaced the longtime Ridgeline that competed in Class 7. It retired from its final race at the 2025 Baja 1000 before American Honda ended the alliance.
The Passport Baja Spec will be showcased at a private event in downtown Los Angeles hosted by Menzies Motorsports and Race Service, then be displayed at HRC’s booth at SEMA from November 3–6.
Menzies will continue to drive the Gen-2 Mason Motorsports truck at the Baja 1000 and 2027 Baja 250 before switching to the Honda.
