The Polaris RZR Pro R Factory has dominated UTV racing, and this has remained the case with the second-generation model that was introduced in 2024. On Friday, Polaris unveiled the RZR Pro R Factory Boost that builds upon both that vehicle as well as the RZR Pro R Boost.
Polaris stresses this is not a replacement for the Gen-2 Pro R Factory but rather “gives racers another purpose-built option with a different level of performance and capability.” RZR Factory Racing will use the new car at the 2027 King of the Hammers, competing with it in the Desert Challenge and UTV Hammers Championship.
As the name suggests, it combines elements from the Pro R Factory and the RZR Pro R Boost, such as the engine being nearly twice as strong at 400 horsepower and a larger 45-gallon fuel cell (the Gen-1 Pro R Factory’s is 34 gallons). The wheelbase has been extended by 6.5 inches to 111″ total to improve stability, and comes with wider tubing for increased strength. It also comes with a redesigned roll cage, full carbon-fiber bodywork with an arched roofline developed using CFD, and the addition of a second MoTeC Power Distribution Module.
“The Gen-2 RZR Pro R Factory has proven itself as the benchmark in the side-by-side category and demonstrated our ability to compete among the best, beating all other UTVs in virtually every major offroad race in the world,” Polaris’ racing boss Alex Scheuerell stated. “With the RZR Pro R Factory Boost, we’re building on that success with a clear goal: to keep pushing the boundaries of performance and give our team and customers every advantage to continue winning at the highest level.
“Desert racing demands strength, speed and durability across hundreds of miles, and we’ve engineered this platform to take on the next level of competition. We’re ready to put it to the test and push for results that reflect the ambition of our team.”
The vehicle is available in limited quantities through SCI Distribution, LLC, with an MSRP of $200,000 to start off. Orders will close on February 15, 2027.
